Photovoltaic system and storage not completed at building handover

Hello, I am still very new here and couldn't find anything using the forum search. I hope someone can help me here. I have the following problem:

I bought a house from Helma, or rather had one newly built. With a few exceptions, I have been relatively satisfied with it so far. However, the handover of the construction is now pending, even though neither the photovoltaic system is connected nor the power storage delivered. The construction manager also could not give me a completion date yet. Since I have already terminated my current apartment, I definitely have to move out this month. How should I behave now? Postpone the handover indefinitely until everything is installed? Carry out the handover and note all defects? But how must Helma compensate me then (because I cannot yet use the photovoltaic system and the power storage and accordingly have significantly higher electricity costs)? Is there anyone here who is familiar with this?

I am looking forward to your help.....

What does significantly higher electricity costs mean? Do you know what you potentially save with the photovoltaic system? If yes, go to the house provider with that.

You also have to pay rent and electricity in the old place :)

Otherwise, hire an appraiser to help you with the handover.

Thank you for the tips. We already have an expert, but he only looks for construction defects. The main problem is probably that I cannot estimate how high the monthly savings from the system are. Therefore, I also cannot quantify any damage. Additional information (which I forgot above): It is a 7.48 kWp system with a 7.70 kWh lithium-ion battery.

I would take it off, list defects, and treat the investment costs for the photovoltaics and storage as damage, charging interest at x% over the base rate until they are completed.

In the current situation, it can very quickly happen to you that you end up in force majeure…

I am now assuming that your house builder did not order the system just recently?

If he ordered in time, meaning at least six months ago, I am of the opinion that you should be glad that everything worked out so well and you can move in. Others are waiting for their heat pump and therefore cannot move in.

Your house builder is not responsible for the current delivery situation. You can take a look here in the forum to see how long other people are waiting for their storage tanks.

Therefore, I would be in favor of accepting the house excluding the system.

Delivery difficulties are not force majeure.

But I would also accept, note the missing system as a defect, and move in. Whether you then try to claim damages is something you can still consider.
