Wouldn't it be complete nonsense to drill holes with dowels into a waterproof tub??? What is supposed to slip there... DIN or not is now unchangeable and also not bad but you should immediately talk to your GU about the manner of communication.... one meets for a conversation on the construction site for such things or calls but does not just simply ...

The dowel holes are only a few centimeters deep and have no impact. Otherwise, you would not be allowed to drill from the inside either. A white tank is 20cm or thicker, from 12 cm it is water and diffusion-tight (experts argue about diffusion, some say it is never diffusion-tight, but only a barrier through bitumen. That is why the DIN still recommends a barrier for higher usage requirements. However, this has meanwhile been disproved by tests).

Thus, holes, dowels, etc. are no problem.

When gluing, it can happen that the styrofoam shears off because it is only superficially fixed. Due to settling or incorrect filling, it can tear off. Dowelling prevents this.

You should add that this is all just your opinion. Norm Reglung and SdT are just different...

No, it is not my opinion, or what exactly do you mean now? Much of it is also manufacturer specification.

I only know that contrary to the OP's statement, nothing about this is regulated in the mentioned standards. simply believes that it has to be done because otherwise it could tear due to improper filling or settling. He is certainly not wrong with that, but one generally assumes that work is done properly and nothing settles excessively; otherwise, one could regulate oneself to death.
