Pergola awning: Markilux or Kadeco?

Hello, we are considering purchasing a pergola awning in the size 6x4.5m. Currently, we are leaning towards Markilux, however it is about 11,000 euros more expensive than Kadeco at 8,200 euros. The features are identical, electric motors, color, fabric. Where does the price difference come from? Does anyone have either one, or faced the same decision?

In this size, there will be no qualitatively reasonable terrace roof together with an under-roof awning. The under-roof awning offered to us for 7x3m was over 5k. The roof-mounted one at 6k and the pure roof at 8k. And that with a 21% discount promotion at KD… you know.

In general, I would never choose an under-roof awning on a glazed roof on a non-north side. Almost everyone I know has declared that a wrong decision.

Markilux is a well-known manufacturer for awnings. Our last Markilux (semi-open, 3x4m) hung for 12 years and we still got 450€ for it when selling. The fabric was still the original.

Regarding the size and price, I would also look into a patio roof. You can easily get there price-wise. You just shouldn't look at KD or similar. At Tuinmaximaal, a 6x4m clear glass with a sub-roof awning costs under 8k.
