Hello,

during the assembly of the Pax/Komplement drawers, I am unclear about the purpose of a component. It is a small white plastic part, which is supposed to be attached from underneath at the front of each rail.

It is described on the last page of the instructions (p. 8).

As I understand the instructions, the part is inserted from below into a hole in the drawer and then turned 90°. However, in that position the part is anything but secure and will probably fall out downwards eventually.

What is the function of this part and how is it correctly installed?

Thank you

hello,

as you described it, it is correct. It is true, it sits loosely, but it will not fall out. I thought the same about my cabinets at first, but it never happened. The part is there to prevent the drawer from being accidentally pushed upward or (if it is not properly latched) pulled out completely and thus injuring someone.

Hello,

thank you, it's reassuring that others have also left it like that.

However, I doubt that this part prevents the drawer from being pushed upwards out.

Hi,

Of course, if you pull the drawer upwards with full force, you will eventually break the plastic part or bend it so that the drawer still comes out.

But you don't do that, and at least here it holds.
