Hello,
Our driveway was just paved last week. The height of the paving is flush with the screed height of the garage. In some places, it is about 1-2 mm higher. The screed is finished on the outside with a very sturdy steel angle.
Is this implementation normal and also correct? I would have actually expected the paving to be a bit lower, at least about 1 cm lower. Currently, water runs somewhat into the garage when it rains, even though the paving should actually have a slope away from the garage... Some puddles of water always remain on the pavement when it rains, and at the same height, it simply runs under the gate! It is a "sectional door" with a rubber seal at the bottom.
What do you think? Or to ask differently: Is this a defect? Or do I have to accept it? How could the area at least be sealed? A few drops are no problem, when I drive in with a wet car, I also have that. But at the moment, it is too much for me!
Thank you!
