Hello everyone,

we are slowly planning to have a house built for ourselves. The selection and possibilities are of course huge.

Now we have found an offer for a kit house from Ytongg.

We really like this house! However, we find the price set way too high. Starting at 110 thousand EUR for pure self-construction! Especially, there is absolutely nothing inside! Really only the door and the windows...

Maybe someone has seen a house like this (ideally turnkey) during their planning phase?

Hey svnc88!

That's a bit too little information you're giving us. How about the size of the living area to start with?

No, I haven't seen that.

Also keep in mind that the interior finishing will add a significant chunk of expenses. And don't underestimate it like we did back when building and think you can do it all yourself (well, it still worked out in the end, but damn!). Job + then still going to construction work - that really doesn't last long.

We will probably build with Ytongg kit house, but a house completely planned by us.

We have received an overall price from Ytongg that includes everything except the floor coverings and painting work in the interior rooms kitchen, living/dining room, bedrooms. Our Ytongg building consultant explained it to us like this: Ytongg provides you with a weatherproof house, meaning cellar, walls, roof and windows. For the remaining interior work, they connect you with craftsmen that Ytongg works with. You can use these or replace them as you wish. The offers and services of the companies are completely transparent to you. Since these are local companies, the quality here cannot be used to estimate the quality at your place.

However, we have already looked at another Ytongg house here, as it has the same external dimensions as ours. The builders were just working on the interior finishing and very satisfied with the construction progress so far.

If I were you, I would ask your building consultant about reference houses that you can visit. You should know the exact scope of services of your kit house, only then can you compare prices.
