To me, that would be 100% too many handles on the page. I would have preferred half, together with the space gained from at least a 40 cm base cabinet.

But it must please and be useful to the cook.

Without meaning to offend you: The German standard dimensions are probably designed for 1.5m tall small pygmies. A person of normal height gets back pain at a working height of 86cm when having to reach into the sink...
These low standard dimensions are in my opinion an absolute plague: how much I had to argue with the plumber so that he would finally hang the toilets 4 cm higher than "standard." (He didn’t even manage that, they are only 2 cm higher!)

How glad I was when I saw that Ikea finally offers a kitchen height worthy of humans...!

Dan, I can only agree. The 86 cm standard dimension causes me problems with my height of 186 cm. Luckily, I have a dishwasher and don't have to stand there too long.
