Hey,
Behind the house there is nothing but farmland. The house is located at the very end of a small dead-end street. There is still a neighboring house in front of the house. I tried to show it in one of the photos.
Yes, demolition would actually be my husband's favorite option. We paid €60,000 for the house and have a maximum budget of €80,000 left.
We would do a lot of the work ourselves. So it would mostly be material costs for the renovation.
Plumbing and electrical were partially renewed when we moved in in 1997 but not everything by far.

Best regards

Okay, I can already see that I have approached this very cluelessly and naively so far. I actually have to deal with several authorities and documents.

The house has a lot of charm. You can really make something great out of it.

Yes, super charming the property. What is the mentioned mother - a farmer's daughter, and did the family used to have a farm operation on the property discussed here? After all, the depiction of the surroundings suggests that one is allowed to live here predominantly or even exclusively. But possibly the outdoor area starts right behind the outer edges of the house, which could hinder expansions. I don't like the corrugated roof - it could be Eternit.

Thank you very much. Yes, I really want to preserve the charm and still make something great out of it. I hope I succeed. That is why I would also love to convert the stable.

No, my mother only bought the house in 1997. And at the time of construction, the house was a smithy. Do you mean the roof on the extension of the barn or the barn roof itself? The barn roof itself is quite certainly asbestos and actually needs to be removed.
