Optical mouse and white Ikea GALANT desks

Hello dear Ikea fans,

I have a question for all of you because I would like to buy the Ikea galant desk:
Do optical mice work on white Ikea GALANT desks? Or is the surface too smooth/shiny?

Of course, optical mice do not work properly on certain surfaces. Glass, high gloss, all poison...

For example, it doesn’t work on the "MELLTORP" dining table
