Ok. Thanks for the answers. It will probably have to come down to a closed solution (side wall + door) because the side wall can't be much longer than 100cm. Otherwise, the remaining passage will be too narrow. I'll have to check whether a glazier or sanitary installer is needed.

Hello,

another alternative would be to approach the local plumber.

Our plumber installed a custom-made glass shower enclosure from Sprinz in our (old) apartment, which was not really more expensive than everything the glazier or the sanitary supplier had offered us as solutions.

Regards,

Dirk

What does a tinsmith have to do with glass?

Quite simple:

Our plumber installs all sanitary objects (including shower cabins) completely finished.

But this was already mentioned in post #15

Initially, not much. But to order a glass pane, you don’t need a specialist. It all depends on the processing – whether it’s a tinsmith (with us more like plumber/sanitary installer) or metalworker (locksmith). For example, we got our glass canopy from a locksmith – good work at a good price. Many of these companies explicitly offer showers, canopies, etc. made of glass.

Cool, sounds plausible. Thanks for the explanation.
