Hello,

We have received an initial offer for our shell construction.
Overall, I find the total amount quite reasonable.

However, the item earthworks seems relatively expensive to me. The complete excavation of the construction pit is not included in the offer.

But to charge almost 10,000 gross for refilling the working spaces, I find that extremely expensive.
What do the experts who have built basements think about this?

Regards
Steffen

First of all, read properly...

Yes, I don't find the backfilling quite so favorable now. We had our soil material limed and then backfilled, and were significantly below your price.

I would ask the earthworks contractor who is also doing your remaining earthworks here. Because you have to award the excavation of your basement yourself.
Do you already have an offer for that?

Otherwise, I find the prices acceptable. I find your site setup cheap. It was almost twice as much for us.

That would have been the plan anyway, that the civil engineer would do this immediately. We don't have a civil engineer. I had asked one, the price was 35 €/m³ including transport and disposal fees. That would be reasonably humane.

A scaffold for just under 5,000 EUR net? I think that's very expensive.

Just ask a scaffolder nearby with the plans to check if the price can be correct.

For the civil engineering items, you could also contact a civil engineer in your area.
