Hello,
I have a somewhat unusual question. We have the following problem. We found an apartment that is perfect for us: location, layout, orientation, and so on are simply perfect. However, the apartment only has 2 tiny bathrooms. Do you perhaps have something like that too? If yes, how do you plan your daily routine there? There are three of us, and we don’t need a bathtub. Therefore, we would cover the bathtub (see 3rd photo) and put a small shelf on top of it. Now the daily routine would look like this:
Showering in the 3.18 sqm bathroom 1
Doing hair, brushing teeth, makeup, and so on in the 4.58 sqm bathroom 2
The reason is that bathroom 1 is so tiny and there are no additional storage options for hair dryers, creams, and so on. Where there would be space, a towel rack was installed (red X). :(
To be honest, isn’t it kind of ridiculous to switch bathrooms while getting ready? And afterward, you still have to go to the utility room to put away the dirty laundry. Those are crazy walking distances, right? Construction is already so advanced that changes are unfortunately no longer possible. If instead of the bathtub, a shower had been installed in the 4.58 sqm bathroom 2, we would simply have used bathroom 1 (3.18 sqm) as a storage room (we don’t necessarily need a second toilet), but as it is now, it’s a bit tricky. Maybe that’s why the apartment is still available?
I’m asking because it would be a shame if it failed precisely because of THAT, since everything else is perfect, as I said. So the question is, how do others do it? How do you do it? Do you also have such small bathrooms? Everything is brand new; tearing everything out again now would be somehow not what we intended. Maybe you have ideas, tips, or tricks on how to change this?! Maybe we’re just having a blackout because of all the planning? Anyway, thank you.
