Enclosed space must be paid for and maintained. With the budget and slope, every cent, every scoop of excavator bucket, and every cubic meter of enclosed space must be scrutinized. There is no money for something like a hobby room, a third child, or any other space to be squeezed in. The house, budget, and requirements do not fit an additional basement.

Therefore, a "basement"-requiring plot must also be one that contributes to the above-ground scale.

I would perhaps rather compare Kaufland to Edeka. Because even if some people here want to convince themselves that they live in a luxury property compared to Town & Country... by "Beetle" I understand houses like the user with this huge 80m³ water tank in the garden, but not the houses of most other users here.

With the classic Beetle clientele, we are probably talking about people who build for 5,000 EUR/m² in the heart of Munich and actually have 2 or 3 Porsches in the garage.

If someone considers themselves better because they have tiles for 50 EUR/m² in the bathroom instead of 30... there is nothing more that can help them...
