No panic!

Hi!

A purchase agreement does not break a rental agreement. That means you can stay in the apartment and the new owner of the property has to take you over under the same rental agreement! Unless they make a claim for personal use, then you would have to leave the apartment within a deadline. However, this is subject to strict conditions. So the house is not on fire yet!

Best regards

Unfortunately, the right lies with the landlord here if he, as has been written here a few times, adheres to the notice period. So check the contract and, to be on the safe side, start looking for a new apartment beforehand.

I would recommend buying the apartment anyway if you have money or the possibility of taking out a loan. Compared to that, it is cheaper than paying rent forever.

Sure, it's cheaper, but not everyone has that much money on hand all at once. And loans aren't that simple either; after all, you have to pay them back with interest. I do think it's pretty harsh that you can just be kicked out like that.

Well, I have to say I partly understand the new owner. Because not everyone wants to go through the hassle of renting out. And if he respects the deadlines, I don't think it's that immoral.
