Hello,

I live in an apartment and for a few days now it has been claimed that the new owner wants to immediately resell all the apartments. Everyone who does not want to buy their apartment then has to move out. Is something like this compatible with the law?

I think that is clearly in accordance with the law. If the new owner adheres to the notice periods, he can do whatever he wants with his house. I would check the contract to see how the deadline looks.

well, I can only agree with my predecessor. of course you can consult a lawyer, maybe you should, but if the new landlord wants tenants out, then he will prevail, as sad as that is. I would quickly look for a new apartment if I were you.

good luck,

So a legal dispute will be lengthy, expensive, and possibly unsuccessful. Therefore, it is better to quickly look for a new apartment. However, as a tenant, you also have rights, and these must also be respected by the new tenant.

thanks first of all for your numerous replies :) I just hope that I will then have enough time to look for a new apartment now.

you have to check how the notice period looks. I think that you definitely have enough time to find something new. it doesn't happen that quickly... but it's annoying when you feel comfortable in an apartment and then have to move out. maybe you're lucky, and he doesn't sell all the apartments.

best regards
