Hello, so I can't imagine that the oven has good draft, because otherwise the problem wouldn't even exist. Could it be that the chimney on the roof is not optimally aligned and occasionally lets in air when the wind blows. That would be the only thing I could imagine.

Hello,
does the smoke always come out of the door or only occasionally? If it only happens occasionally, it can be that it is drawn into the chimney from above. If the chimney is installed in a place where the wind comes in, it can happen that the smoke is pushed downwards.

Hello ursus,
This is annoying and unacceptable!
I suspect the problem lies in one of the following points:
Has your stove installer ever sold the same wood-burning stove and does it work?
Do you have a controlled residential ventilation system?
Do you have an external air connection at the chimney?
Do you have the problem in winter as well when it is cold?
Or to put it differently, do you always have it when adding fuel, regardless of windy cold or sunshine?
Do you have a stainless steel chimney flue?
Is only one wood stove connected to your chimney?
Well, if I had to connect a fan to my wood stove, my enjoyment of the stove would quickly fade.
We have been heating houses with stoves for a few hundred years without fans. Why should that suddenly not work in 2008!
