The press releases state income. If the income tax income is meant, then for employees (without additional earnings) this means Gross salary less deductible expenses = income Income minus special expenses and extraordinary burdens = income/taxable income.

I believe [Bruttoeinkommen] is meant and not net or taxable income.

That would at least be in the sense of simplification. But we live in a system where every little thing wants to be treated with a special exception and every hint of possible discrimination or disadvantage escalates into a wave of outrage.

On the topic, I think it’s so far all saber-rattling, which is completely vague in content. Amounts, limits, and other conditions are purely speculative, at most a negotiation status. I definitely wouldn’t wait. The subsidy will in any case be grabbed as quickly as possible by industry, if it even comes and if you qualify for it.

I don’t think so, other types of income (e.g. small business owners) would then be excluded.

Surprisingly, all the press texts I could find on the subject mention "70,000 euros household income per year." This leaves me puzzled, as to my knowledge, "household income" is not a precisely defined term, unlike household net income, for example. Anyway, it was just a thought aloud, neither a draft law nor an enacted law.

70K€ net income would correspond to a household net income of 5,833€ monthly - I don't think any government support is still necessary.
