In the official form, you have to specify the construction costs. And the caseworker is probably interested in this because the fees for the building permit are calculated from it.
Anyway, we have now provided the complete plans, building description, and site plan (text + drawings). One person signed right at the front door, he didn’t really want to know the details. Since we adhere to the development plan and the state building code, there isn’t much to discuss.
Well, in Hesse, the clocks probably tick a little differently. On the building application form, only the gross cubic content must be stated to determine the fees. The production costs only have to be specified for projects without cubic content.
However, I think the (raw) construction costs are not really the "interesting" part. Sure, I have differences there depending on the construction, but I am not exposing myself by stating the raw construction costs. Roughly (whether expensive or not), anyone who has built before and looks at the construction project every day can determine that just by looking. Ultimately, the wheat is mainly separated from the chaff by the size of the project and especially by the final equipment. But the building application does not say anything about the latter.
I think the approach you have now taken was the right one in the long term.
