??? This is not about favors, but about the regulation of real damages. The insured risks, the conditions, and the insurance are the fundamental factors.

A household insurance is not necessarily needed. And that was what the OP asked.

Has liability insurance already been mentioned? This is highly recommended. The regular private liability insurance is no longer sufficient for the present case.

That's exactly what I meant... real damages are often portrayed as a "favor." Unless you make sure, for example, that liability insurance explicitly includes such damages.

You should insure all existentially threatening risks... and everything that lets you sleep better. I find household insurance difficult... I believe if something ever happens, I'll take it as an excuse to buy new furniture :D Of course, also situationally... expensive bicycles? 5K € table, graffiti artist as a neighbor? Rushing river nearby and house in the swamp?

We were once burglarized, this was settled without any issues (approx. 8k)

would pay attention to the insurances to ensure it is not a "basic coverage" but something reasonable

When buying a house, all insurances are automatically taken over by the seller - right? I would take my time to think about the insurances once the remodeling, renovations, and moving etc. are completed, and accordingly compare and possibly change them.
