Well, a lot is promised but whether it really works, we couldn’t imagine beforehand. We were really thinking about whether we should invest the 1000€ in the NCBox.

But so far I would say it was worth it, sure with an air conditioner you could probably have 22° in the house permanently but what does it cost to buy and what does the operation cost... And whether that is healthy is another matter....

But it is already a big difference whether it is 25 or 27 degrees in the house. Sounds little but the quality of life is much better...

By [Beschattung] do you mean roller shutters? Well, I think everyone who builds new nowadays has those and in summer also down. Of course that helps a lot but eventually every house heats up with over 30° outside permanently.
Our neighbors also have the roller shutters down all day and even have a big tree, the house is in the shade from noon, yet it is warmer there...

Do you know or does anyone know if it can be retrofitted or how complicated the installation is or if something needs to be pre-installed? Does KFW cause problems with the cooling module for the heat pump?

It can be retrofitted but is more expensive then. Watercotte and Viessmann are/were the only ones who integrated it into the heat pump. We ordered a Viessmann heat pump with integrated cooling for an extra €1000 in 2018. Meanwhile, Viessmann no longer offers this... We have now received the NC Box from Viessmann at the same price because we signed at the time. Normally it costs about €2500 plus additional labor costs because lines have to be installed and the whole system has to be fitted.... At the time we also said we would retrofit later, but our technical company said it’s better to take it for €1000 right away than €3000 later for retrofitting. In the case of Viessmann it no longer works now, but anyone who wants to get a Waterkotte should take it right away.

Retrofitting is generally possible without problems according to my information. I’m not familiar with KfW...
