Good day!
20 years ago, I had a desk made from multiplex boards. The carpenter coated the surface at that time with a transparent parquet varnish. For years, a slightly smaller glass plate lay on part of the board. Over time, this varnish reacted with various things, certainly including sweat, and became unsightly or "greasy" in parts.
Now I have completely sanded the board and am wondering what to apply on it now. I certainly will not use a two-component parquet varnish again, as I probably wouldn't be able to apply it cleanly either. Is any colorless oil suitable for this? I would also like to put the glass plate back on.
Does anyone have an idea?
