Cause ... Most likely it was the moisture, yes. So you need to ensure that no new moisture penetrates and then dry it as much as necessary.
Renovation ... exactly, the removal of visible and invisible mold. How far you need to go cannot be assessed from a distance. It is also uncertain to me whether renovation is possible or if it is a total loss. But, realistically: it hasn't been moldy for long. If the cause is removed quickly and permanently, I believe that renovation with a commercial mold remover is sufficient. I would apply it generously (in the sense of extensively) to the affected areas. Always ventilate well while doing so! (If necessary, really remove a few roof tiles ...). I would leave it at that. Regularly check the roof structure (so once a month, for the next year), apply mold remover again if needed.
