Take a look at bathroom exhibitions and on the internet. You can sink a lot of money into sanitary installations. Don’t get carried away with the design but think primarily about the function. Otherwise, you will have little joy later on. It should be easy to clean, not splash, etc. I think it should also match the house. So no "normal" house with extravagant bathroom fittings. But that is just a personal opinion.

As an idea, a multiplex board (40mm) cut to any size from the local timber merchant, placed on metal runners or partially resting on the wall, with a countertop washbasin on top. We have recently implemented this 3 times, totally inexpensive and stylish as well as freely designable. I would have the faucet either come out of the wall (more expensive) or be on the washbasin (which we have). Underneath, for example, a wide WT base cabinet from Ikea.....a bit of imagination added and you have a stylish and simple construction for relatively little money. You can also do it with an oak board, which is usually very expensive, although I wouldn't know why this couldn't also be, for example, affordable spruce.
