Mirror-inverted mounting soft closer for Ikea Pax sliding door?

sorry, I somehow forgot about the post, the PM helped.
So in the end, I just re-drilled the metal part. It's not pretty, but it works.

I proceeded exactly the same way over the weekend. The metal part is essentially dimensionally symmetrical, drilling the holes requires some tools and patience, but it ultimately works quite well.

However, with this solution involving the self-drilled holes, the question arises how you managed to mount the plastic rod in the other direction? Simply rotating it is not so easy because Ikea has installed a plastic rib in the part that does not allow the plastic part to be mounted reversed?! (without removing it)

Of course, there is also the option of swapping the end plates mounted vertically on the outside of the Pax cabinet and thus exchanging the stops of the sliding doors. But that doesn’t work cleanly either, because these also have a taper on one side (top) to make room for the end of the upper running rails.

Can you tell me how you solved the plastic problem? Why doesn’t IKEA just make 2 versions??

Hi, I simply removed the plastic strip as it didn't seem to serve any function. (Except to prevent us from mounting it "incorrectly.") Alternatively, cut/file a suitable notch into the metal part.
