Mineral plaster instead of textured wallpaper?

Lime would be exactly our case :) Did you do it yourselves and did you already have experience with it? And if it is rather something for "advanced" people: is lime a "standard job" for craftsmen, or don't all of them do it? Or are the craftsmen costs similar to those for mineral plaster? (Lime is a bit more expensive, as far as I know - but maybe the application is also more complex?)

No no, the plasterer already did that. Honestly, I hardly know anyone who did their interior plaster themselves (except friends who have clay plaster and no craftsman could be found for that...) Lime was more expensive than lime-cement in terms of material. The prices for the work were the same if I remember correctly. Therefore, the application should also be equally (complex).

Applying clay plaster as a finish is quite simple. In the penultimate house, I finished our bathroom with it (plaster can be purchased in color).

Thanks. It was "normal" plaster as a base. The clay plaster goes on top of that. It is ready-made and simply mixed with water. Then apply with a trowel and smooth out. No real difference compared to other types of plaster.

Clay is actually ideal for wet rooms. It absorbs moisture quickly and slowly releases it back into the ambient air. This creates an excellent indoor climate. However, it is very expensive. For the material alone, with other wall coverings you can easily get the labor included as well.
