Micro wind power systems in single-family house?

Yes, I think so too. :) I would have painted mine colorful and decorated it with fluttering ribbons. I think, basically, the acceptance of wind turbines in the landscape would increase if they were prettier and had ribbons or similar fluttering on them. At least for me. These rotors that "cut through the sky" depress me.


To speed things up, at least with systems from China, you just have to hire a few Chinese interns. ;-) (The joke works indirectly :) and is definitely not meant derogatory. I have the highest regard for Chinese citizens, and our Chinese employees are/were simply top class in every respect.)

I'll just write down a few numbers. 1kW photovoltaic costs 1000.--€ (or was that before the energy crisis) and produces 800-1000kWh per year and that for at least 15 years. This applies to balcony systems with 600 watts and larger systems in new buildings. A wind turbine costs 2000-3000 € and the yield is 500 kWh but only with a lifespan of less than 10 years. In the small wind turbine forum there was a report where the kWh cost 90 cents with significant subsidies and then the system was broken.
