The mentioned ovens are nowadays actually almost always connected via Schuko plugs. The Ioniq 5 can even charge at 32A single-phase, right?!

Yes, I was talking about the first one. And it can only do single-phase. So it takes much longer. I know that because the Ioniq of the lady of my heart shares the garage and the wallbox with my Model 3.

Basically, we are talking about Schuko sockets here. So what does that have to do with wallboxes and three-phase charging of electric cars?

It might be able to, but 32A single-phase is a severe load imbalance far outside the standard (not allowed by network operators) - or am I mistaken?

Yes, but claimed that many vehicles, like the Ioniq for example, can no longer charge single-phase at 16A nowadays.
And that is wrong.

I believe he just doesn't quite understand it.

I just checked again. That's correct, it only charges single-phase. But with up to 32A. Topic imbalance. Anyway, 16A single-phase is fixed. There are even aftermarket ICCBs that draw 16A from the Schuko socket.
