I am new here to the forum and also a new homeowner :)

We bought a semi-detached house from the 60s in Wedel/Hamburg, which we will now renovate.

Since I have already read a book about electrical work (I am an IT specialist), I will partially install/lay the electrical wiring myself.

Now my only question is, where can I best get all the stuff? Unfortunately, my old source has passed away, rest in peace "Kurzschluss-Bernard"

The usual stuff, like:

- cables

- switches/sockets with frames, etc.

- flush-mounted boxes, etc.

- installation materials like WAGO connectors, etc.

- fuses and a fuse box (don’t worry, I will have the fuses/the box wired and inspected)

Is there a wholesaler in Hamburg or near Wedel where you can also buy "like this"? In an emergency, I could also register a business.

I already looked in the hardware store yesterday, but they only had switches/boxes from a manufacturer I’ve never heard of… that’s a bit annoying if you want to buy replacement parts in 5 years or so…
