I set the hardness to 4-5°dH so that the woman still has something to clean. No, you’re not supposed to go all the way down to 0.

But I have to say that so far I’ve only tested the flow with the handheld showerhead; I’ll also test the big one tonight. The handheld showerhead can only produce a jet about 10 centimeters long when you tilt the showerhead upwards. I basically wish for a shower again where you can skip the massage because it hits your back so hard, as if Axel Schulz himself were kneading you.

In general, the handheld showerhead only has 3 settings, and even with the supposed massage jet, rather 3 gentle little streams come out.

If I Google Euphoria, I get the information that it is equipped with EcoJoy, meaning only 50% water flows through...

Best regards in short

Pressure can otherwise also be regulated at the connection, for example, hot water is often reduced, but with the consequence that overall less comes out.

Edit: Grohe itself offers instructions on how to individually adjust the pressure or flow rate.

If the pressure at the tapping points is almost identical, it is less due to the fittings and more due to what the pressure reducer does or what value it is set to. On the pressure gauge, you read 3.5 bar, that is the pressure present in your house. However, this is usually not the pressure coming from the street. You can easily increase the pressure at the pressure reducer. Depending on the manufacturer, you have to turn somewhere else. For Grünbeck, for example, it is a small knob that sticks out horizontally including a scale; for Syr, it is an orange ring directly above the filter cup, but without a scale, instead with + and -. Just look in the instruction manual, it says where you need to adjust.

But the fact is, the pressure reducer cannot give you more pressure than comes from outside.

My information only applies to a filter with a pressure reducer. If you have a normal water filter without a pressure reducer, then you cannot do anything.

Best regards

What I couldn’t really figure out is whether the problem has always existed? That would point to the incorrectly sized pipe...or only recently..? We have a water filter installed on the main line...according to the instructions, I am supposed to clean it every six months to prevent any pressure drop...have you ever tried that? Or is there no such thing with a water softening system, or is one installed there...?
