Hello everyone,

our God in black insists on a negative pressure monitor for our fireplace, which is required because of the air-to-air heat pump heating. The chimney sweep wrote the following to me: I do not have a specific negative pressure monitor in mind. It is important that the exhaust fan shuts off independently at a negative pressure of 4 pascals.
We have already planned a connection to the fireplace. See the attached picture.

Now my question is, which one I need.

The system is a Proxon from Zimmermann.
Our electrician can install it, but I should buy the monitor.

Thanks in advance and best regards

Doesn't matter. Leda Luc, Broko, P4 etc. P4 is good and affordable (I had it in the last house), I'm currently installing Broko (for combination stove, ventilation, and extractor hood).

Thanks in advance. So these are the models that are installed for that purpose. How does it work then with this 6 meter hose for pressure measurement? I don’t want to drill a hole to the outside, or am I misunderstanding and such a device only needs to be connected to the chimney without measuring to the outside?

The P4 measured the flue pipe in relation to the utility room. The Broko will measure flue pipe to the fireplace room.
You have to discuss that with your chimney sweep.

Oh yes, remember a temperature sensor. Then the pressure monitor only works when the fireplace is actually on.

Thanks again. I still can't really make sense of it.
We have a wood-burning stove in the living room and the ventilation system is in the basement, where the "used" air is also exhausted.
We have had a duct installed from the stove to the utility room.
The wood-burning stove will be operated independently of the room air.

What would make the most sense in this case?

Broko does everything with radio, but we wouldn't need that here since the ducts are already there.
In your opinion, where does it make the most sense to measure this annoying negative pressure?

Thanks again.

Then take a P4. Differential pressure between the flue pipe and the living room (then the device can also be easily attached to the chimney). With the connected line, the P4 then switches off the power for the heat pump in the utility room.

That's how I would do it (or rather did it in the last house in consultation with our chimney sweep).
