You have to know how it is supposed to be installed. The functions are identical. Otherwise, ask your chimney sweep what he would prefer to install.

Hello, to conclude the topic Final. I have received a certificate from the heating company stating that the heating system is certified according to DIN XX (if underpressure occurs, the ventilation switches off) and therefore I did not have to install anything else.

Hello Zenjamino, the topic concerns us as well right now and therefore interests me greatly. Our chimney sweep also insists on an underpressure monitor. He said no ventilation system manufacturer will certify that their system shuts off under underpressure. Therefore, we didn't even try to ask about it. It also states in our building documents that we need an underpressure monitor if we want a wood-burning stove later on. We also have a Proxon system from Fa. Zimmermann.
