I am happy about your participation, but did you even read my initial post? ;) Maybe my comment about the sunshade is confusing, it was only meant as a side note or to make clear that there can be quite a breeze there.

That's exactly where I'm looking forward to hearing about practical experience.

Good luck.

I would rather contact the intended manufacturers to ask what they say about the wind stability of their products.

ZIP screens. They are made of fiberglass, so they are quite sturdy – usable even in the wind – and keep out the rain.

what do you mean by that?

So, you stay dry with the screens even in wind and weather? And the louvered roof wouldn’t have kept you dry? Because so far I have been told differently.

Yes, we do that, although here with us the wind may not be quite as strong on average as in Hamburg. In a storm, you wouldn’t be sitting outside anyway, but otherwise it does make a difference and is surprisingly stable despite the wingspan.

Great, thanks! Which manufacturer are your screens from and how large is the area? I'm not concerned about sitting there in really bad weather, especially not in the rain. The main problem is the gusty wind, which can be really annoying.
