Hello,
does anyone have an idea how to design a house (Jura house style) when you want everything for the parents on the ground floor, but you do not need the same dimensions upstairs (about 120 to 130 sqm).
Space requirements ground floor: living room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, guest WC, bedroom, dressing room, bathroom, utility room, heating (no basement), hallway, staircase in hallway
A direct passage from the garage into the house would be desirable;
Maybe someone has seen a floor plan that inspired them.

Thank you very much in advance....
Best regards

Why do you want everything for the parents on the ground floor? Does it have to be two full floors?

With a Jura house, this is simply feasible: The ground area is sufficient for living and parents, then on the upper floor a knee wall of, for example, 1.40 plus a slight roof pitch – which is cofferdamed to the extent that only about half at the top is habitable. Behind the cofferdam, storage space can then be generated.

First of all, thanks for the answers! Everything upstairs because we are already a bit older (47+40; my wife may forgive me) and want to think about later! : interesting, I need to draw whether KS with 1.40 doesn't distort the proportions. I'll give it a try.

I just cannot associate a hipped roof with that, I only see this house type with a gable roof, ... ... however, regularly also with a knee wall.

However, I only don’t understand only nonsense: big knee wall, additionally dwarf wall with side dormers – and all that in a two-story building, where full-story avoidance is not an issue (and here especially not the floor area ratio and floor space ratio either, so storage space may well consume floor area)??? – I can’t grasp what that is supposed to be good for.
