We are considering which flooring is sensible for a new building with underfloor heating.

Tiles in the bathroom. But in the hallway and kitchen? Tiles as well or rather vinyl flooring? For the living, guest, and bedroom I was thinking of vinyl flooring. Or is that too cold since you don’t put a carpet on it anyway because of the underfloor heating.

Have you ever asked? Have you read the answers and still have specific questions?

We have vinyl flooring in the kitchen. I think it's great that it is a waterproof and low-maintenance floor. However, it is very scratch-sensitive (although it wasn't cheap!). If I had to choose again, I would go for tiles.

Vinyl is always a bad choice. Artificial, very sensitive, and the step feeling is not really pleasant.

Better take tiles.

I see every day how the children (and of course we too) move the dining chairs back and forth. I'm glad that we have tiles on the ground floor and not vinyl. I don't even want to imagine how it would look now with vinyl.

Even though there is already a thread: due to scratch sensitivity and feel, it really depends on the respective product, ours is very robust. I tend to prefer tiles as well.
