The architect has already done that for another construction. Maybe she informed him too late, he felt bypassed, or it’s about the money. All just assumptions. I have now written to the [Bauzeichnerin] again.... would also like to know the reason.

What should one say about this in the forum? You have chosen a path with friends, then the friends should also offer a solution. If they run a construction company, the problem should be known. Maybe they have messed up before and now nobody wants to take responsibility anymore. If the design is not an extraordinary piece of art, that’s no problem. But who is supposed to do it? I don’t know what kind of things you work on and what responsibility you bear for them, but if someone comes to you with a finished processed matter that you are only supposed to sign off on, wouldn’t you be cautious as well? A designer must bill according to HOAI, and preliminary work by third parties has little effect on the fee. If there is no half-solution from the friends, you practically start from scratch, which can easily become a five-figure amount.
