Hello,

I am currently converting our attic studio and want to place my library here. That means many shelves. For example, the knee wall is 60 cm high. I would like to fit two rows of shelves here over a length of 4.20 m. Is, for example, Ivar that flexible? That is, could I cut it to the appropriate height? Furthermore, I would like to go significantly above 179 cm at the gable. Is that possible? Finally, can Ivar be painted?

I would be very happy about questions and further suggestions/tips!

Best regards

Sam

IVAR is basically cut-to-size wood with holes and slightly sanded - it can be easily sawed and painted.

Hi,

Ivar is a good system if you are handy. You can build everything exactly the way you want. If you are not quite so skilled and don't need it tailored, then there is also the Broder variant. It has the added advantage that it can carry very heavy loads.

IVAR - is the shelf!

It is very simple to adapt it to the respective needs and it just looks great!!!
Whether painted or oiled, or natural - just beautiful ;)

I just hope Ikea doesn’t eventually take this shelf out of the program as happened to Sten!
