Hello,

I am currently studying the local building regulations and am not quite understanding them. You can surely help me:

1. Infiltration
Mulden (swales) are mentioned. Are other systems such as rigoles allowed as well? We don’t really like having a swale in the garden.

2. Heat pump
There are certain exclusions due to drinking water protection. Apart from an air-to-water heat pump, are other heat pump systems allowed at all or are we restricted to air-to-water heat pumps?

Thank you very much for your help.

What does the worksheet, respectively the information sheet from the LRA say? The answer might be in there. It reads quite clearly to me: If heat pump, then only air pump.

Air-to-air heat pumps are certainly also allowed.

Nobody wants that, right?

As far as I know, it is more suitable for passive houses.
Besides, you have to like it when the house is heated like a car. I could imagine that one might miss the radiant heat.
But I have never experienced it live.

Hello Chameleon

I prefer deep drilling. Brine heat pump.
Groundwater protection is always an issue. The drilling company seals the probes against the groundwater during drilling so that no mixing can occur. It was approved without any problems for me. I think deep drilling is the most efficient way to manage geothermal energy.
