Linoleum DLW for single-family house new construction

You have to like the smell. We have real linoleum in the hallways at work, and when newly installed, they smell very strong. The maintenance effort is apparently higher than with more modern floors. It is actually regularly polished with a machine.

According to DLW, the smell disappears after two weeks and should be easy to maintain thanks to neocare. Of course, different conditions and wear prevail in commercial settings.

Sorry, I didn't install linoleum, in the end it was laminate after all.

Although that’s something completely different again, because they walk over it all day with street shoes.

By the way, linoleum also has disadvantages compared to laminate (and parquet), believe it or not. The stuff is relatively soft, quickly forms permanent pressure marks, and whatever sharp thing you drop on it, it goes through.

I think especially for dog claws, linoleum is probably not a good choice. A covering with a hard surface is better there, like laminate.
