Hello everyone,
I am currently working on the lighting design and have a problem with the dining table lighting.
The dining table is partially located in an open space. In the open space on the upper floor, I would hang 2-3 pendant lights/balls. Do you think that is enough lighting for the table?

Furthermore, I would install an LED strip as task lighting (tunable white) above the kitchen island, and at the back of the kitchen area, we have spotlights under the tall cabinets.

In the living area, we are planning a ceiling panel that will have an LED strip around it for indirect ceiling lighting. Inside the ceiling panel itself, there will be spotlights directly above the sofa (reading light) and possibly a pendant light above the coffee table. In the room itself, there will also be floor lamps placed in the corners.

Do you think that is enough, or would you do it differently?

Best regards and thanks
Hannes

Dining table: Take a look at "less and more ylux". You can centrally install them above the table to the low ceiling and still illuminate the table well and glare-free. Due to the lens technology, the light is very even and can be precisely adjusted for the area.

Kitchen: Use stripes with a close LED spacing and place a diffusing milky glass in front for even illumination. 24V technology works better for long stripes (does not get darker at the end).

Okay, I will take a look. You mean the light from the airspace is not sufficient for the dining table?

Depending on what you have there - cozier and nicer is a light that not only makes things "bright" but also highlights the area of the table. In the airspace, we had considered the next light sculpture with us, but then discarded it again because we like the open airspace so much.

Do you mean something like this? (I can't say anything about the rotation) The brightness would be enough, but it would be uncomfortable and not concentrated enough for a dining table. It would also hang a bit higher. We don't use the lamps at all, rather the floor lamp suggested in the picture, as it is much more focused and has directed light.

Yes, something like that. We probably really need an extra lamp above the table. We'll have to look around again. Not so easy at all.
