Okay, as already mentioned, different preferences. One person likes it bright, the other rather dark. It's all fine!

Maybe you should read everything and also understand. You can't make a place bright with lighting effects.

You briefly shared your ideas with me. What I don't understand is why, instead of giving advice, someone's idea is harshly dismissed instead of trying to find a solution, which is why the OP is looking for advice here.

The cove is desired, still unclear to what extent, but it will find its place in the living room. I understand that it is not meant to serve as the main light source to illuminate a room; in this case, it is about ambient lighting. I don't see where the mix of many lighting effects is supposed to be. We have planned DALI to later create precisely different scenes.

If you have an idea how to integrate the cove elegantly, then please share. If you are not an advocate of it, that's also okay, but please say so right away, so I can better classify your response.

Why actually KNX and not Casambi?

Because he might not want a proprietary radio thing just for light. By the way, your "subtle" advertising for the lighting store in Bielefeld definitely stands out, but maybe your link will already help speed up the disposal :)
