A cheerful hello to everyone,

does anyone happen to know how large a sample piece must be if you want to have a color tone mixed? We would like to repaint a part of the facade, preferably matching the rest of the facade color. Before we break out an unnecessarily large piece of plaster, I wanted to ask if you are familiar with this. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any information about this online.

By now, probably no one can do that anymore. There are codes for machines that mix the paint. In the past... in the past a maker would mix something like that for you on site. If I were you, I would ask the specialist retailer (not a hardware store, because they don't have a large palette selection of facade paint) for their fan deck and then match it with your paint. Tip: paint the whole wall right away. Due to the different orientations and lighting differences, you won't see any difference from the rest of the house.

Thank you for your answer!

Phew... I had suspected something along those lines, but didn't think it possible. I thought that mixing according to color samples had become established and that it hadn't disappeared again.

Then the trip to the paint dealer will probably have to happen in the next few days after all...

Painting the whole wall is no problem. For now, it's only about one section – a bit of plastering was done there and two doors were redone. Since the exposed timber beams start from the first floor, this section to be painted is quite well defined. The entire facade on this side is very large *laugh*

And when you are with the expert, then ask him this question once again. Maybe they know someone who can do it

Every master painter can do that. Really.

Well, I would like to have a color code for this shade so that the facades on the other sides can be painted gradually later on... And a master painter on site would probably want to paint himself as well if he's there anyway, right?
