Let rainwater infiltrate - Cheapest alternative?

Hello everyone,

I need to "get rid of" my rainwater.
Discharging into the sewer system is not allowed in our municipality.
At first, I wanted to install a flat tank, put a pump in, and that would be it.
Now my neighbor told me about a well, which is possible here and is now being implemented cost-effectively.
I no longer need the rainwater, but I have already connected 100mm KG pipes to my downpipes and laid them over about 16 meters. The sketch attached basically shows my current installation.

My problem now is: In various forums and in my execution plan it says: "Depth of the infiltration basin approx. 30cm." However, my pipe end is at a depth of 1 meter.
I did not want to skimp on the slope to definitely avoid standing water, and of course, frost protection must also be considered.

The question now is: What (cheaper) alternatives do I have with my pipe end at 1 meter deep?

The groundwater is very high here during the corresponding months. Our house connections could only be made in January with a 2-month delay and the use of a pump (to remove the water).

Thanks in advance!

What do you mean, you didn’t want to skimp on the slope?

There is a reason why a certain slope is normally used.
Especially with regard to flushing through the pipe, it can be disadvantageous if the slope becomes too steep.
Heavier objects (dirt) could get stuck because the water flows past them too quickly, allowing them to settle over time and clog the pipe.

We have a concrete shaft with an access cover in the garden. Diameter ~1m and about 3-4m deep. The overflow from it goes into a buried gravel pit with 4m³ of gravel, which was first covered with geotextile and then covered with soil.

What type of drainage have you applied for, what was approved, and who planned it? I don't want to act like a bureaucrat, but do you really know what you are doing? I think your neighbor is not talking about a well but about a soakaway shaft. However, that is not a 1m deep pipe. Especially with a high groundwater level, I don't believe it works as simply as you have outlined.

He must mean the well, because with high groundwater it is a cheaper and safer water source than with a cistern.

We also want a well but had to bury a small cistern due to clear regulations.

I do have to agree with you that it should at least be properly planned [emoji14]

How high is the groundwater?

I would now simply have two soakaways calculated and then have them constructed. The end.

Regarding the well, I would first have a water analysis done.

Unfortunately, I recently had to find out that our well water is generally fine except for zinc. The content is so high that the water cannot be used for irrigation.

About the cistern.

A few years ago, I also built one. Since I didn’t feel like obtaining a permit from the Lower Water Authority, which would have cost money, and also didn’t know where I could have buried soakaways because there are many trees and bushes here, only an above-ground infiltration was considered. So I just slotted sewage pipes and laid them on one side of the garden. When needed, an inexpensive pump starts and empties the tank a bit. And then the water spreads over a length of about 10 meters.
