Hi guys,

what do you think? Should you take out legal protection insurance (if that even exists?!) for building a house?

Do you have any experience with that? Is it even possible to get something like that?

Cheers!

To my knowledge, there is (or was) only one product from Sparkasse, which, however, requires a loan there. Moreover, it was by no means unlimited, I think up to 10,000€. So ultimately more of a marketing thing.

No, you cannot insure house construction with legal protection insurance, because these are contracts and have you ever heard of contract legal protection insurance?

Life consists of contracts, e.g. the employment contract is a contract and labor law is insurable. But also AFAIK there is no legal expense insurance that covers the risks of house construction ;-).

I had also informed myself about this. House construction is a craft and this cannot be “insured” because something can always go wrong in a craft.
