Hello everyone,

soon our planned filigree ceiling will be installed. We have already been considering the lamp positioning in advance. We would now like to install individual LED spots into the ceiling without wanting to suspend the ceiling. I have already seen that there are such installation pots for LED spotlights (including [Fa. Kaiser]). Is it possible, when the filigree ceiling is already in place but no additional layer of concrete has been poured yet, to still make the cutouts for LED spots on site? I am aware that the desired diameter for the LED spots is relatively large and that it won't be easy with a reinforced concrete ceiling. Your experiences please

Yes, it is of course not advisable and depending on who is building your house, there could be issues with the warranty, but yes, it is possible. However, for example, it is particularly concerning in the stairwell.

I have also drilled a hole here and there in our house, which was forgotten during the planning or was decided on-site that something needs to go there.

Yep, that works. You need a core drilling machine and depending on the number of spots, accordingly more time. Prepare the necessary measurements. When you are standing on the ceiling, you have zero orientation to find the drilling point. Maybe drill through from below with a hammer drill and then use the core drill from above.

That's what I thought too. Which flush-mounted boxes can you recommend for this? Kaiser distinguishes between cast-in-place concrete and factory-made versions. Which product do I have to use in my case?

Thank you for your message. Can I possibly still plan for EVG in the box? I have seen that Fa. Spelsberg offers such installation boxes.

What would be the advantage in this case?

//Edit: I have read that these boxes (Kaiser 1290-30) are used for installation in solid ceilings. We currently only have the filigree ceiling. The concrete will be poured later, once the cables have been laid. Is this still the right product in this case?
