I am simply skeptical about battery/electric technology in tools. The decision regarding petrol lawn mowers has also already been made. I am only left with the question regarding the necessity of a drive.
Which drink should I have? I am completely open to anything, but I have settled either on Coca Cola Cherry without sugar, on Coca Cola Cherry Zero, or on this Coca Cola Cherry.....
Sorry, but the question sounds similar to me... If it absolutely has to be a petrol engine - have you ever mowed with a current battery mower? - then I would definitely do without the wheel drive on the lawn area. Who needs that on a flat property?
Incredible, what a drive for missions! The person asks for something concrete and gets babbled at and pedagogized. Concrete answer, yes, a wheel drive is okay. No need for increased power. Yes, Husquarna is something good, but our AL Ko with Briggs and Stratton has also been running for eight years and is significantly below H at around 360-380. Get one with a mulching function, your lawn will be fine, dense, and weed-free like a robot lawn with regular mowing.
I have a Sabo without drive for a similar size lawn. (A bit bigger). It is completely fine. If I had to buy one again now, I would probably get one with drive (for the lady).
Well, battery-powered lawn mowers aren't exactly great either; if the grass gets too long and is still a bit wet, you run into problems. Then the grass sticks to the housing and the motor can no longer throw it into the basket. For 400m2, you should get a second battery; the specifications are only achievable under top conditions. And for 400m2 and a flat property, a drive is not worth it either; you'd better invest the money that the drive costs into the width of the mower and the size of the basket. My next mower will be either a robot or a classic petrol one.
Our best piece ran from 1991 to 2010. It was a Stiga mulching mower two-stroke from the professional series. At first, I had about 1000 sqm to mow - later it was of course underchallenged at the townhouse. But the durability, superb. It was worth its 700,- DM. And it started immediately. And it took a 1 to 50 mixture and had no fear of steep slopes. I can only recommend these Stiga parts for larger lawn areas.
