Hello,

I am facing a big puzzle: My laundry chute with dimensions l = 31cm and height = 28cm is now finished with fixed plaster and chamfered edges. Now I am looking for an inspection door etc. that I can install here. But unfortunately... all sizes are only 20x20 or 30x30. I just can’t find anything. I don’t care anymore whether it is made of metal, wood, etc. Does anyone have an idea for me? Attached is a photo...

Inside, it would also need to be cladded, as there is a d=300mm pipe installed and cut open. Thanks,

How did the dimension of 31 x 28 come about?
So if you want to buy something finished, I would look for an inspection door (for example on Amazon). One with an internal dimension of 30 x 25 might fit, they still have a 5 cm border and the entire opening is covered.

A construction made of wood would of course also be possible, but it requires craftsmanship skills from you. Or made by a carpenter, if you happen to have one available. That then costs accordingly, but possibly looks nicer than the metal flap.

Wow, which clever Schildbürger first came up with this ingenious construct but then didn't think it through?

Well, I would definitely build a nice wooden door on it myself. Presumably, the blue and yellow Swedish furniture store has matching cabinet doors in similar dimensions.
