I feel somewhat addressed :)

There are suitable leveling compounds for wooden floors, for example Baumit Extrem. That these must be applied to a solid, non-swinging substrate, I have regrettably not mentioned, but this also follows from the processing instructions. I think if Sabine has been to the specialist store, she has gotten something suitable in hand that is not self-leveling screed - that was the original plan.

In this respect, I would like to assume that Sabine has successfully renovated in the meantime.

Now, since unintended wrong recommendations of a private nature due to technical ignorance are not punishable anyway, there can be no criminal relevance in this part of the forum. This reference note would therefore have been unnecessary.
However, Sabine wrote that the wooden substrate was uneven and would move.
For a professionally useful recommendation, however, all aspects known to us must be taken into account.
It should be beyond doubt that the user must additionally observe the manufacturer’s processing instructions.
Only with some “technical foresight” can one recognize that movements in a wooden substrate will always continue.
So it is not enough to even out the unevenness, but a permanent, functioning construction must be recommended.
And that must be: Secure loose, moving floorboards or panels!
If this is not possible at all, one must bite the “bullet” and completely dismantle the floor level, so that after leveling the top surface of the supporting beams an even usable surface (or subfloor, as it is also called) can be created.
Merely leveling with highly plastic-modified leveling compounds should and cannot serve to eliminate substrates that are not ready for installation.
But I admit that due to my profession, I evaluate such situations with a different perspective than is possible for someone not specifically familiar with the subject. In this respect, this time addressed to “guckuck2”: “No hard feelings”!
The questioners in this forum should just not fall into traps – even if unintentionally posed.
Greetings to everyone: KlaRa
