Laminate connection to baseboard channel possible!?

Hello, Unfortunately, I have a baseboard channel in an old building that is glued to the PVC floor with silicone. Also on the wall (wallpaper). Removing the channel for laying laminate on top of the PVC is therefore... suboptimal. I am aware of what would be absolutely right here, but unfortunately neither time nor money for it.... What could I do? Laminate almost directly next to it and silicone probably won't make sense, right? Is there some kind of adhesive lip that can be stuck onto the baseboard channel? Many thanks!!

Not the perfect solution but quick and easy would be to lay the floor with a small gap to the base channel and then glue a small quarter round as a finish on top.

You can just Google it, actually available in every hardware store.

I started in one room cutting the channel at the bottom with a multitool. It works but is incredibly time-consuming :/
Also, of course, it’s not easy for the installation because you can’t lay it at an angle

Really great tip! I have a room where the baseboard channels run along three of the four walls. So for the last row, there is no other way than to go in front of it. The quarter round moldings make the finish excellent. I attached them to the baseboard channels with double-sided tape :)
