Hello everyone,

I have a Kivik 3-seater sofa and would like to extend it on one side with a recliner so that the combination of 3-seater with recliner is created.
Can this be done afterwards? Or is it only possible if you buy this combination directly as one piece?

Does anyone perhaps know this?

Regards
Mareike

You can buy a Récamiere separately. Take a look at the instructions, to me it looks like a modular system. The separately purchasable Récamiere has the same part number as the one in the sofa-Récamiere combo. More interesting might be whether the covers are dyed identically (or if your existing sofa might already be somewhat faded). Regards, IKEA-Friend

yes that's true. I also planned to completely reupholster, my kivik 3-seater is already 4-5 years old and a new cover would be good.

At an age of 4-5 years, it is always possible that something has been changed. Therefore, compare with the [Montageanleitung] to see if the fastenings are still the same or in the same positions.
