I am planning a kitchen with an adjacent small storage room (approx. 1.5 x 3.3m). Since access is only possible through the kitchen, I would like to integrate it visually in a good way. For example, you often see on pinterest passageways consisting of a cabinet door from the kitchen system, which allows it to be completely integrated. Unfortunately, these cabinet doors are only available up to 60cm wide, which is a bit narrow (e.g., if you want to place a freezer there). Has anyone implemented something like this and can share their experiences?

Do not let finished products limit you. There are carpenters for such solutions. They will build the door for you exactly as you need it.

It should also fit the design of the kitchen (no manufacturer favored yet). A direct carpenter kitchen is then again priced in a completely different dimension.

That should not be a problem if you think in terms of solutions. If necessary, you can order the surface material and handles from the kitchen manufacturer along with the kitchen purchase. Or the door is an intentional contrast or ... .

The question is whether kitchen manufacturers can offer anything in this regard. With solid wood, it would be even easier; with laminate, you also need material to work on the edges.

But just bring it up once at the kitchen studio.

So far, only experience with Nolte kitchens gathered. Their catalog, however, only offers 60 cm doors. Just measured the narrower door here (guest bathroom) which is 65 cm. So 60 could really even work... (should measure a freestanding freezer)

We have a Nolte kitchen and a non-standard 80 cm depth to gain some space in the niche behind the sink. From the side panel of the refrigerator facing the stairs, one could have also made a door or finished a door panel. Of course, you won’t find such a kitchen in the catalog. Here is a picture shortly after assembly.
